Encumberance is not reset after temple donations.
You have to exit the game and re-enter to have your encumberance back to normal.

Why donate to the temple? Does that acually do anything other then getting rid of gold?

I had heard rumors of that a long time ago.. is there a certain amount that does it, or certain patterns or something?

I had heard rumors of that a long time ago.. is there a certain amount that does it, or certain patterns or something? you'll hear rumors but there is only one constant variable ... if(amount > 100) that is it, nothing else matters, as long as the amount is greater than 100 it does a roll of 1-1000 and it the roll is <= 40 you get a chance at a stat. the chance at the stat is based on a roll of 1-6 for all 6 stats and if it can be increased it increases it. the downfall to that is say you get the roll to get a stat but the stat chosen is alreayd at the max you lose the increase. in reborn i redid the donation system but for classic this is what we got.
